Whilst building work was still underway on the main facility there was an opportunity to create a smaller, remote site that could work alongside the Limes Unit upon its completion.
This warehouse was a basic shell and in relatively good condition. It was around 3 months of persistent work to kit it out and make it fit for use. This is an unmanned facility with access control and is monitored remotely through CCTV. It turned out to be very popular with locals who have found its location just off Maple Road in Penge ideal to keep their possessions close by.
This also proved to be a great learning curve for the team in how best to handle the operations of a self storage facility. Valuable experience that would help to make sure that the Limes Unit was firing on all cylinders upon its opening.
